This group of buildings located near the Vaquerizos stream forms part of a farming estate where we find constructions clearly intended as housing for owners or workers, slightly separated from the rest of the estate’s buildings, thus providing a nearby but quieter space.
The rest of the infrastructure is a mix of older buildings, in varying states of preservation, and more modern constructions, all of them used for the control and management of livestock, which remains today the main source of economic activity in this area.
Despite its proximity to the city, places like this once constituted small rural communities, where numerous families carried out their daily lives with a clear capacity for self-sufficiency. Livestock farming was often combined with vegetable gardens and other small cultivated plots that provided food for the inhabitants of these houses.
