The final point of the route is one of the most significant spiritual, cultural, and scenic landmarks in the province of Ávila. Located on a small rise, the sanctuary stands out not only for its devotional value but also for its ability to offer a full panoramic view of the surrounding rural landscape and the city of Ávila, whose walled silhouette rises on the horizon.
The current building dates from the 15th century, although earlier constructions linked to Marian worship existed on the site. In addition to its architectural value, the sanctuary has historically been a meeting point for pilgrimages, popular festivities, and community celebrations, becoming an important node of social cohesion and collective identity.
The natural environment of the sanctuary combines cleared holm oak woodland with pasture areas and ruderal vegetation, creating a mosaic of habitats where species such as the common kestrel, hoopoe, and various butterflies can be observed. This site, where landscape, history, culture, biodiversity, and spirituality converge, is the perfect finale for the route, inviting not only contemplation but also a deeper understanding of the bond between territory and community.
