We begin the route on the outskirts of Aldeagordillo, a small rural settlement that still preserves its traditional essence, representative of the rural character of Ávila. The surroundings combine agricultural fields with pastures and discreet tree formations linked to watercourses, forming a typical transitional landscape between the urban world and natural spaces.
From this point, we can observe how the village adapts to the terrain and how the parcel layout reflects ancestral forms of land use. The arrangement of the paths, the dry-stone walls, and the location of small agricultural constructions speak of land management that has respected the rhythms of nature. This is an excellent place to reflect on the role of human beings as shapers of the landscape, especially through subsistence agriculture and extensive livestock farming, activities that have left a deep mark on both the landscape and the local culture.
