We begin this route near Urraca Miguel, a small village located at the foot of the first slopes of the Sierra de Ojos Albos. This location offers an ideal perspective to observe the transition between the countryside landscape and the beginnings of the mountain formations, as well as to understand how rural communities have adapted to this mixed environment, making sustainable use of its natural resources.
The village, the dry-stone walls, the livestock trails, and the open fields all speak of an intense agricultural and livestock activity that still persists. Urraca Miguel, like other villages in this area, maintains a close link with transhumant traditions, whose imprint is still visible in the layout of the paths and the structure of the landscape.
