The route culminates at Pico Valdihuelo, one of the highest points in the area and a true natural balcony overlooking an extensive panorama of valleys, dehesas, villages, and mountain ranges. This place, in addition to its obvious scenic appeal, holds great geological and ecological value.
From this natural viewpoint, it is possible to interpret the complexity of the surrounding relief, identify landforms shaped by the action of ice and water, and understand the relationship between the different landscape units. On clear days, the view stretches as far as the city of Ávila and the foothills of the Central System.
The summit environment hosts high-mountain vegetation such as creeping junipers, lichens, and some hardy grasses, as well as birds of prey such as eagles, vultures, and kites. Its altitude and isolation make this an excellent place for observation, contemplation, and connection with a natural environment of great purity and silence.
With this final stop, the route offers not only a physical end to the journey but also an opportunity to reflect on the value of the landscape as a natural, cultural, and emotional heritage.
